Discover the heritage of Marseillan

Marseillan is a charming little town with a wealth of heritage treasures. The first of these is definitely the Château de l'Étang. This 17th-century building was once the residence of local lords. Today, it is one of the town's landmarks, where you can enjoy a variety of exhibitions.

Marseillan town centre is just as interesting. Here you'll find typical Mediterranean architecture, with colourful buildings and shady squares. The town is also famous for its many churches, including Saint-Jean-Baptiste and the Chapelle des Pénitents.

Of course, you can't spend a camping holiday in Marseillan without visiting the harbour. It's a busy place where you can watch the fishermen's parade, but above all you can taste a variety of local specialities in one of the many restaurants facing the sea.

Finally, Marseillan is also the place to be for wine tourism. The town has acquired a real reputation thanks to its vineyards and its Muscat wine: Muscat de Marseillan. During your stay, don't hesitate to visit some of the local wine cellars and bring back a few good wines in your suitcases.
