Discover the culinary specialties of Marseillan

The culinary specialties of Marseillan are numerous and mainly revolve around oysters, fish and wine.

During your stay in Marseillan, consider taking an excursion to the Etang de Thau where you will have the chance to visit the oyster farm. Oysters are very popular in Marseillan and almost all restaurants offer them. The same goes for mussels and snails. You cannot leave Marseillan without having tasted the braised oysters, that would be a mistake.

In terms of wines, Marseillan is also well served. So, if you prefer wine to seafood, you will be happy thanks to Richemer cellars. Wine tasting, tapas tasting, tasting with your feet in the water or on an excursion on a boat, some practical information to better understand the differences between red wines, rosés and white wines... Enough to satisfy your curiosity and your pupils during lovely, exciting excursions.

For the early birds and the late risers, drop in at the Grand Marché de Marseillan. Between gourmet delights and a relaxing break, come and get a taste of the Marseillan way of life during your stay. You'll be able to sample almost all the flavours of the region, all in one place. The Grand Marché Marseillan takes place every Tuesday morning in the heart of the historic centre between June and September. The big attraction? The view of the sea and the chance to discover small shops and local flavours. You'll also have the pleasure of discovering streets filled with surprising and enchanting scents and colours. Just a few steps into the heart of the market will give you a glimpse of Marseillan's great soul. It's a striking market where flea markets and second-hand goods come together. We've warned you: you're bound to find what you're looking for in the heart of the seaside resort of Marseillan in the Hérault

And what would Marseillan be without these renowned restaurants? If you're an epicurean, you must at least have a meal in one of these three restaurants before leaving Marseillan. Your stay will be all the more memorable, trust us. So where will you sit down to your next meal? That's the question to ask yourself. If you want to be dazzled from the plate up, we recommend "Le Château du Port". If you want the best braised oysters in Marseillan, you'll have to go to "La Cabane". If you're just in the mood for gourmet seafood and you're accompanied by a vegetarian, hurry off to "Jardin du Naris" and you won't be disappointed.
