The Thau archipelago offers a wide range of festivities all year round, and particularly during the summer season.

During your stay at the campsite near the Etang de Thau, take part in events that are accessible to the whole family: concerts, shows, guided tours, local festivals, traditional markets, cultural exhibitions, maritime excursions, birdwatching, etc, etc!

Thau Festival in Mèze

The Thau Festival is one of the region's flagship events, held every year in Mèze, on the Tonneliers car park, as well as in a number of other towns in the Thau archipelago. The festival combines musical programming, cultural diversity and ecological commitment. Throughout the month of July, take part in a wide range of world music concerts and eco-awareness activities, including eco-dialogues. Festival shuttles run between Sète and Mèze.

Passage of the Olympic flame

Make a note of this date on your holiday itinerary: on Monday 13 May 2024, the Olympic flame will pass through the Thau basin. The flame will cross the Etang de Thau and follow a precise route from Balaruc les Bains to Sète. All the details have yet to be revealed, but the beauty of the sites in the Hérault region will be showcased along the way. The day will be punctuated by festive events not to be missed, especially with the impressive convoy of the caravan following the flame.

Visite guidée de Sète

Every Tuesday in July and August, enjoy the "Sète histoire-là" guided tour. Sète is one of the Mediterranean's major ports, but the town is also famous for its canals, its cultural identity and its gastronomy. Take this guided tour and discover the history of Sète through the different eras and its emblematic places, from the upper quarter to the old port. The tour is fun and suitable for children (aged 6 and over), who will discover the town's heritage by solving riddles. This guided tour lasts around 1.30 hours and can be booked at the Tourist Office.

Fêtes de la Saint-Louis

For 6 days, from Thursday 22 August to Tuesday 27 August, the Saint-Louis festivities have been taking place in Sète since the port was founded in 1666. These traditional festivities feature parades and jousting tournaments, as well as all kinds of entertainment. This major event showcases local culture, gastronomy and music through concerts, tastings and sporting activities.
