An active family holiday in Marseillan

Marseillan's proximity to the beaches of the Mediterranean and the Canal du Midi make it an ideal location for a wide range of water sports. You can try or rediscover paddling, sailing, kitesurfing, scuba diving and experience the thrill of parasailing. For a more leisurely activity, you can go sailing on the Canal du Midi or opt for a boat trip to discover all the riches of the coastline.
The surrounding countryside is the perfect playground for hiking and cycling enthusiasts. Take advantage of the 25 km of cycle paths that allow you to visit Marseillan, Sète and Cap d'Agde without using your car.

Our favourite: the easy 6km walk from Marseillan to Cap d'Agde, with views over the Bagnas lakes and Mont Saint-Loup. For a walk with a change of scenery, set off from the port of Marseillan village and walk along the Etang de Thau before arriving at this superb site, where the Canal du Midi ends. You can extend the walk as far as the Onglous lighthouse before retracing your steps.
